They say that the optimistic entrepreneur, who remains positive and is capable of seeing the brighter side of any situation, has a better chance of success than the pessimist who runs a family business. One's attitude towards facts is far more important than the facts. This is because attitude determines success or failure. This especially holds true for leaders- as their attitude will directly influence the whole unit. The ability to remain positive and aggressive is an essential quality needed in a leader.

In the modern business world, a crisis is no longer a special circumstance, but a constant that needs to be factored in. During times of crisis, members of the unit may become anxious, uneasy and prone to confusion. If the leader does not maintain his poise, the entire group will inevitably break down. It is during these times of trouble, through the leader’s unwavering optimism and positive thinking, can the true value of the leader be measured.
