Optimism, Bernard Montgomery
The first and foremost responsibility of a leader is optimism. If your people do not feel uplifted after their meeting with you, then you are not a leader yet.
- Bernard Montgomery (1887-1976)
They say that the optimistic entrepreneur, who remains positive and is capable of seeing the brighter side of any situation, has a better chance of success than the pessimist who runs a family business. One's attitude towards facts is far more important than the facts. This is because attitude determines success or failure. This especially holds true for leaders- as their attitude will directly influence the whole unit. The ability to remain positive and aggressive is an essential quality needed in a leader.
