Challenge, James Ramsey Ullman
Challenge is the core and mainspring of all human activity. If there's an ocean, we cross it; if there's a disease, we cure it; if there's a wrong, we right it; if there's a record, we break it; and, finally, if there's a mountain, we climb it.
- James Ramsey Ullman (1907-1971)
Wanting to stay in a comfortable, familiar place- in a comfort zone for as long as possible- is a part of human nature. On the other hand, despite the risks involved, there is also a part of us that craves to explore and seek out new challenges. History has shown that it is difficult to succeed without taking risks.
