Responsibility, Booker T. Washington
Few things help an individual more than to place responsibility upon him, and to let him know that you trust him.
- Booker T. Washington (1858-1915)
The subtle beauty of empowerment is that it is done despite knowing there will be losses through the temporary transfer of authority. In the long run, it helps the growth of subordinates by improving motivation and devotion- if one does not have the courage to endure short-term losses, it is not true empowerment.
